Pin mills
This grinder is used for products such as plaster, limestone, calcite, lime, and dolomite with a hardness below 3 on the Mohs scale. For products with an abrasiveness above 3, the inner surface of the body can be reinforced with lining plates. It is particularly preferred in the mining, chemical, and food industries.
The grinding process takes place between two horizontal steel plates with vertical pins arranged in concentric circles on opposite sides. Product enters at the center and is ground and thrown to the edges. Product that passes through the sieve discharges from the machine.
Grinding pins are manufactured from wear-resistant cast steel. Cover pins are a single-piece jaw. Rotor pins are individually bolted to the rotor disc and are easily removable and replaceable.
